Syrian state broadcaster SANA has released footage purportedly showing the "thriving nightlife" of government-held west Aleppo in its latest effort to downplay the upsurge of violence in the city.
However, conditions in the rebel-held east are as bloody as ever. The Syrian monitor Violations Documentation Center reports that at least 377 civilians were killed in the last seven days alone.
